At Catmose Sports Centre, dance studio capacity will be limited to 14 people in total plus the instructor and Sports Court capacity will be a maximum of 18 people plus the instructor to allow for 2m social distancing.

1. FOR STUDENTS THAT DO NOT ATTEND CATMOSE COLLEGE OR ARE RETURNING HAVING LEFT SCHOOL FOR THE DAY – Students and one parent to line up outside the building to the left of the entrance doors and around the building in the direction of the pool building. Students to be collected and taken through to the space as a group
2. FOR CATMOSE COLLEGE STUDENTS COMING TO RYDA STRAIGHT FROM SCHOOL – Students will be collected from downstairs changing rooms as a group to be taken to the space together
No parents/carers allowed on site;
Hands to be sanitised on entry to the building.
No bags, only water bottles to be allowed into the venue. These will be placed at distance to one another around the edge of the space.
Spaces to be marked out on the floor in tape or with sticky floor markers prior to each session – used for students throughout the class with the exception of drinks breaks.
End of class, all students to be led back to the entrance as a group – to include any students staying for the following session. No students to be left unattended in studio or sports hall. Year 6 and under to be seen to a parent on exit outside of the building
With the exception of Catmose School students changing rooms will not be in use, toilet facilities will be available. Toilet trips to be managed by additional member of staff for students in year 4 and under.
Catmose Students to change in changing rooms downstairs. Belongings can be left in changing room at own risk. Use of lockers encouraged. No belongings to be taken to any other part of the building.
RYDA staff trained in COVID-19 procedure to ensure safeguards are in place
No one with COVID-19 or suffering symptoms allowed on site
Before and after use, RYDA will clean contact points (door handles and barres if used) with antibacterial wipes. These wipes contain isopropyl alcohol, gylcerin, parfum, propylene glycol, benzalkanium chloride, citric acid, EDTA. Other cleaning to be arranged by Stevenage Leisure.
To keep indoor spaces well ventilated- air conditioning will be required in studios
15 minutes down time between classes to reduce congestion of parents picking up, managed entrance and exit of students effectively and to help air quality and ventilation
Any equipment bought in and used by RYDA will be for one group alone, or thoroughly cleaned between groups by staff
Track and trace system in operation so that any potential cases can be isolated immediately. Details of all those in attendance to be forwarded to Stevenage Leisure by email following sessions |
