We are proposing for all RYDA groups to perform at this years Spotlight Dance Festival which is scheduled to take place from Tuesday 22nd to Saturday 26th June at Stamford Corn Exchange!
For those of you who haven’t been involved before Spotlight is an annual dance festival for Community and School groups across the County which is currently in it’s 16th year! The aim is to provide children with the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre space and showcase their hard work.
THIS WILL GO AHEAD PROVIDING ALL COVID RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED ON 21ST JUNE AS PLANNED.
The current proposal is for our Primary RYDA dancers to perform as part of our or Primary Schools Show. They will join those Primary School groups taking part in the event and perform on the evening of Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th June with dress rehearsals taking place on Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd during the school day.
Transport to and from the dress rehearsals will be organised for all of our dancers and parents will be responsible for transporting children to and from the evening performances.
I will be in touch with your child’s school to get authorisation for your child to attend the day time dress rehearsal. Your child will then be collected by me and taken by bus to the theatre. Dancers will be looked after by myself and the RYDA team for the duration of the dress rehearsal. We will return to school before the end of the school day so normal arrangements can be kept for collecting children.
Despite all restrictions coming to an end, we are looking to limit capacity and keep children in bubbles where possible to remain vigilant and keep everyone safe as best we can.
