Demi Essex 

Hi, I’m Demi and I currently teach Commercial Dance and Contemporary Dance at RYDA. I specialise in Dancehall and Commercial but also teach Afrobeats, Contemporary and Jazz. Alongside this I work as a Dance Lecturer at Leicester College, a choreographer at The Curve and my own dance company D.D.A.

 

I started my dance training at 16 at Leicester College, from here I have achieved a Degree in Dance and danced for numerous dance companies. I have travelled to France for 6 months to perform in Normandy and Spain as a choreographer on creating a short musical. I also choreograph and perform in music videos for upcoming artists.

 

The best thing about my job is I get to constantly meet new people and discover their ways of moving. I am forever learning new techniques and styling.
