Production Information and Parental Consent
Please keep reading for all the important information you need for the show and complete the form below to consent to you or you son/daughter performing in the production.
Additional Rehearsals
There will be 2 rehearsals prior to the show to plot the first act and the second act before we perform on stage. These will take place in the auxiliary hall at Catmose on Sunday 27th November and Sunday 4th December from 1.30pm to 4pm. Groups that will be needed for each date are as follows:-
Sunday 27th November – ACT ONE
All Stars, Year 5/6 Street Dance, Year 7-9 Contemporary, Mini Monday Street Dance, Year 7/8 Street Dance, Year 3/4 Street Dance, Year 1/2 Street Dance (Tuesday), Year 9/10 Street Dance
Sunday 4th December – ACT TWO
RYDC, Adults Contemporary, Small Stars, Dad’s, Year 11 Contemporary, UCC Crew, Adults Street, Musical Theatre Class, Primary Contemporary.
Show Day
Our whole cast will be involved in BOTH PERFORMANCES on Sunday 11th December.
Performers need to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to each performance taking place. Dancer under 16 will be met by their chaperone on Broad street outside Barclays bank at 1pm and 5pm and enter the Theatre via the stage door.
After each show, students will be released to a parent or guardian from the stage door in age order (year 1/2 first etc). The stage door is located around the back of the Theatre. If you stand looking at the Theatre building head to the right. Silver Lane is between Willoughby’s Bar and Barclays Bank, turn left down there and left again at the sweet shop!
Costumes
Costumes for each group are as follows:-
Step 2 It – Blue denim jeans or shorts and a checked shirt
Mini Street Monday – Striped socks or tights, shorts – any colour, striped t-shirt or top – any colour but ideally no logos, crazy hair, sunglasses that we will be providing. Please transfer £1 to the RYDA account – details below.
Year 1/2 Street Dance (Tuesday) – Printed t-shirt to be purchased from RYDA worn with black bottoms.
Please transfer £8.50 to the RYDA account – details below.
Year 3/4 Street – Any combination or silver and light grey clothing. Please make sure you have at least one silver item. This can be sequined or sparkly. No logos or other colours if possible.
Primary Contemporary – Any combination of yellow clothing, dresses, skirts, short, trousers, tops. If wearing a dress or a skirt please wear black or white shorts/cycling shorts underneath. These can have a slight pattern on as long as the main colour is yellow!
Dorothy – Sophie Collins
Year 5/6 Street – Light grey jogging bottoms, white long sleeved t-shirt, grey beanie to be purchased from RYDA.

Musical Theatre Class – Striped socks or tights, shorts – any colour, striped t-shirt or top – any colour but ideally no logos, crazy hair, sunglasses that we will be providing. Please transfer £1 to the RYDA account – details below.
UCC Crew – Any combination of green clothing, shorts, trousers, t-shirts, shirts etc. I will provide a green bandana for Gabrielle and Isla, and a green waistcoat for Leonardo.
Year 7-9 Contemporary – Tulle layered skirt with white, pink or blue top to match & tiara. I will send you the link to these items.
Year 7/8 Street – Blue denim bottoms, jeans, jeggings, shorts, checked shirt
Year 9/10 Street – Character costumes + one. Please see character costume details below.
Year 10/11 Contemporary – Any combination of blue clothing.
RYDC – Black mesh top, purple leggings, black boots.
WICKED WITCH – Hannah – cloak and hat
Adults Contemporary – Any combination of yellow, blue, brown clothing
Adults Street – Black bottoms and t-shirt/top with black boots. Round black sunglasses and burgundy waterfall jacket. I will send out the links for these items
Dad’s – Black shirt and trousers, green sequin waistcoat and bowtie. I will send out the links for these items
All Stars – Competition costume + one Dororthy please see character costume details below
Small Stars – Competition costume with any green top rather than STARS t-shirts. Preferably plain with no other colour.
CHARACTER COSTUMES
DOROTHY – Anyone playing Dorothy, I will be providing you with a costume. You will need white leggings to wear underneath and a white vest top. Please let me know your shoe size.
LION – Anyone playing the character of the lion will need black bottoms. I will provide a t-shirt and beanie hat. Please transfer £12 to the RYDA account.
TINMAN – You will need to find you own costume. Any combination or silver and light grey clothing. Please make sure you have at least one silver item. This can be sequined or sparkly. No logos or other colours if possible.
SCARECROW – Blue denim bottoms, jeans, jeggings, shorts, checked shirt
We aim to make our production as eco conscious as possible. I encourage you to use items you already have or shop second hand for your costumes where possible. If your costume does have a charge this fee should be transferred to RYDA | 40-35-21 | 51437453 and the costume will be yours to keep following the show.
Tickets
Tickets should be on sale from MONDAY 14th NOVEMBER.
